Chemical X / BIST / Division One / Alien

Social Club Records opened their doors last night for a punk rock show. It was one for the ages. I shot it with my Canon nifty 50mm. Still figuring it all out. If you wanna catch vids of the show, check out my friend Mike's YouTube for this show and a bunch more.

Alien was fun as hell, great opener... three piece grunge punk band. Tight. Heavy. Great dynamics. So much energy. Dear sweet crew, new friends. Happy to have the opportunity to shoot them.

Division One was punk rock as fuck. Another three piece, slayed, covered the Adolescents. Fun, snappy, thrashy punk rock. Hope to see them again. Love the bassist's wicked hair too.

BIST. WOW. We got BISTED. Heavy rock, kind of like the Deftones but also upbeat... arrangements that makes me think and leave me inspired. They exude vulnerability and intensity. I love them. Will definitely be catching them again.

Last but not least, the prodigal sons return. I love Chemical X. They went on tour, they tore this country to shreds, and they're BACK! Still in top form. Tremendous. All four of those dudes. Grateful to exist in the universe at the same time as Chemical X.

I'll say after almost three months of sobriety, being smashed around in the pit doesn't affect me at all. My entire body hurts tremendously all the time, being rocked or not being rocked is the same amount of pain. Pretty cool to have a baseline. Lets see what else doesn't affect me...
